AV encoder module. The encoder cassette converts analogue video and audio signals into a MPEG2 or MPEG4 data stream. This data stream is then available in the TDX pool and can be sent out on all TDX output modules. Teletext and WSS signaling in the analog signal are also converted into the MPEG2/4 stream.
