Product Description

The KOA4P is a high-performance, low-noise EDFA optical fibre amplifier designed for FTTP and FTTx PON network applications. It provides four 1550nm optical output ports, with each output delivering up to 15.5dBm, for a total optical output power of 23dBm.

The amplifier operates across the 1540–1563nm wavelength range and incorporates a built-in low-noise pre-amplifier for reliable optical signal amplification. Each output port features an integrated high-performance CWDM function, allowing the 1550nm CATV signal to be multiplexed with 1310/1490nm PON data over a single fibre and helping to reduce fibre requirements.

The KOA4P is compatible with EPON, GPON and other FTTx PON technologies. Designed for carrier-level reliability, it supports SNMP network management and dual power supplies with 1+1 backup redundancy, providing a reliable and practical solution for fibre access network integration.
