The KOA8P is a high-performance EDFA optical fibre amplifier providing eight 1550nm optical output ports for FTTP, FTTx and PON network applications. Each output port provides 15.5dBm of optical power, delivering a total output power of 27dBm.

Featuring a built-in low-noise pre-amplifier and a wide 1540–1563nm operating bandwidth, the KOA8P is designed to provide stable and reliable amplification of 1550nm optical signals. Each output incorporates high-performance CWDM technology, enabling the 1550nm signal to be combined with 1310/1490nm PON data over a single fibre, reducing fibre infrastructure requirements.

The KOA8P supports EPON, GPON and other FTTx PON technologies and includes SNMP network management for carrier-level network monitoring and management. Dual power supplies with 1+1 backup provide additional operational reliability.
